Today we visited Lherm lavender farm with the prospect of adding it to our Gastronomic Cycling Holiday.
The visit would include picking of lavender, then pressing it to distil the oil. Afterwards a lavender cream tea.

Auberge on the river Lot
Tried out an auberge for our wine tour in April. The waiter cooked our steaks in front of us on the open fire.
Fabulous, with of course a glass of cahors wine.

Aurimont an undiscovered village
Sunday was blue skies bright and sunny so we decided to explore the hills overlooking a ruined 12th century chateau that we pass on our cycling routes.
Discovered a really picturesque village called Aurimont perched on top of a hill that seemed to be untouched for centuries.
We went for a walk downhill on a marked footpath and soon discovered the remains of what apparently used to be another complete village. Further on we could see the ruined chateau plus another (in good order) looking down on us. We will come back next week armed with proper walking boots and camera.
